dancing robots

the sweetest winds, they blow across the south

I went to Murphy’s Camera yesterday to buy a battery and a camera strap. As much as everyone seems to knock it, the guys at Murphy’s are really sweet. Or maybe their impressed by the fact that people still shoot film. Either way, the man who was helping me out started up conversation. Next thing I knew, we were talking about film verses digital, UK, the Kernel and the Herald-Leader.

When he slid my card to take the money I really don’t have, he saw my name and asked me what I went by. When I told him, he replied with, “Oh, I’ve seen your work.”

Really? I responded. Because people will say that, yet I still have trouble believing that while I’ve been published multiple times in the Kernel and Herald-Leader, people actually look at my work.

And even on here, I know there’s people looking at my stuff (hello, you!), but I still can only imagine three or four of my friends reading this.

With that said, here’s some film I’ve shot over the last couple of months.

magic

Of princesses and beautiful light.

mouse

burgers

Graduation grill out.

If it weren’t for this person, I wouldn’t be shooting film.

Those blue eyes get me every time.

Little LaBelle at a little league game in Oakview.

Windmills on the way to Coachella.
