a new form of treatment
This machine is incredible. It reduces the amount of radiation received by cancer patients by about 43 percent and lowers the time spent in daily treatment. This older gentleman was kind enough to let me take his photograph as he was being prepped for treatment.

My other assignment was Buckle Up Day! Today was the first day that it was legal for officers to pull over people who weren’t wearing their seat belt.

He was writing a ticket!
trailer cats
The slug for todays assignment said TRAILERCATS, which reminded me a lot of LASER CATS!
There’s this trailer park in Bonita Springs where the residents vacated pretty quickly, leaving practically all of their possessions behind, including their cats. I was told there was going to be around 15 cats roaming about and eating, but when I got there this morning, I saw about five. Either way, they were being fed and are in need of a good home. I would have taken one with me if I actually lived down here.

grey lizard
I haven’t really shot anything worth uploading over the past few days. I do like this photo of a lizard, though. I’ve had a lot of fun with the lizards around here. Some of them are giant.

stocking the shelves

Tom King of the Saint Matthew’s House Food Pantry restocks the shelves before giving out bags of food to those in need who reside in Lee County. Since opening the food pantry in late May, the pantry has distributed 305 bags of food to those in need. www.stmatthewshouse.org to see a complete list of needed items.
